North Hills Country Club is a notable golf club in the area with beautifully-maintained courses and a long history, and Deepdale Golf Club is another well-appointed country club in the area.
 
Copley Pond Park is a serene spot to take a walk or go ice skating, whereas Mary Jane Davies Green on Plandome Road has a gazebo used for summer concerts and a playground for kids. Christopher Morley Park is a large recreational center with a public pool and park grounds that is jam-packed during the hotter months. Manhasset’s art deco movie theater and The Science Museum of Long Island are the perfect rainy day spots to take kids of all ages.

Manhasset is mainly served by the Manhasset Union Free School District and is also home to numerous private schools. Younger kids head to Shelter Rock Elementary or Munsey Park Elementary before Manhasset Middle and the top-rated Manhasset High School. In the 2010 Newsweek magazine's annual list of the top American high schools, Manhasset is ranked 87th nationally out of the 1,700 schools evaluated.
