Louie’s Manhasset Restaurant, a diner with wooden booths and counter seats, has been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner since 1963, and is the town’s infamous institution. 
 
If you're looking to be seen, Toku (also in Miami) is the hip sushi joint, while Cipollini is upscale Italian with a buzzy atmosphere, perfect for a date night or a meal with friends. Schout Bay Tavern serves modern pub food and is a gathering spot for locals, as are Publicans and Greens Irish Pub.
 
Manhasset is renowned on Long Island as being home to the Americana, the upscale designer row known as “Miracle Mile.” Here you can find nearly 60 luxury brands such as Versace, Gucci, Tesla, Hermes, and Prada.

As with most places on the Gold Coast of Long Island, residents love taking advantage of the beach and harbor during the summer months. The Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is a popular place to join for the private beach, waterfront dining and activities for the kids, such as junior sailing, tennis, and more. 
 
North Hills Country Club is a notable golf club in the area with beautifully maintained courses and a long history. Nearby Plandome Country Club, known as "one of Nassau County's most picturesque and challenging courses," is another favorite.
 
Copley Pond Park is a serene spot to enjoy a morning coffee or take a stroll with little ones, whereas Mary Jane Davies Green on Plandome Road has a gazebo used for summer concerts and a playground for kids. Christopher Morley Park is a large recreational center with a well-attended dog run and ice skating in the winter. The Science Museum of Long Island is the perfect rainy day spots to take kids of all ages.

Manhasset is mainly served by the Manhasset Union Free School District and is also home to numerous private schools. Younger kids head to Shelter Rock Elementary or Munsey Park Elementary before Manhasset Middle and the top-rated Manhasset High School. In the 2010 Newsweek magazine's annual list of the top American high schools, Manhasset is ranked 87th nationally out of the 1,700 schools evaluated.
