Things to Do
Glen Cove may be a small city with fewer than 30,000 residents, but there is an abundance of things to do during any season of the year. In the summers, the most popular activities are lounging at Prybil’s Beach or going to Morgan Park, which offers a live music bandstand every Sunday when it’s warm. Downtown Sounds handles the Friday night jams in the summer and puts up local bands in town while residents dine al fresco nearby. And don't miss the Farmer's Market at Garvies Point each Saturday morning from June into October.
For those seeking some fresh air, the
Welwyn Preserve delivers: the abandoned grounds and derelict greenhouses of this once-magnificent estate are now a nature preserve open for exploration, with trails leading, of course, to the beach.
Many residents also keep active by running or biking along the water and taking one of many options for workout classes in town, from yoga to boxing and more.
